WHAT YOU CAN AND CAN’T EAT WHILE BREASTFEEDING

First of all, you have to be ready that, at the first month of breastfeeding, even the strictest diet wouldn't help as baby adapts to the outside world, to get food through the stomach but not through the cord, so sometimes the baby can have gases, intestinal cramps or diarrhea. To follow child's reaction to any product, you can keep a food diary. Every day, write down dishes you ate, and your child's reaction.

You shouldn't eat many sweets. However, you can use dried fruits, galettes, biscuits, and bagels.

Dry crackers, cookies, jujube, pastila, marshmallows (without chocolate). Rather weak green and black tea, weak coffee, fruit drinks, stewed fruit, herbal tea with mint, thyme, and oregano, non-carbonated mineral water. What isn't recommended to eat? You have to know about the stop-products, use of which is strictly forbidden during all lactating mothers.

Alcohol. Chocolate, some sweet products - pastries, especially with the addition of different dyes and substitute. Coffee and tea, avoid this at least for the first six months. Later, you can use them, but only high-quality products, as for coffee, it should be well cooked, tea - brewed, not in bags. ATTENTION! There is an exception - a special tea, so-called tea during breastfeeding, which includes fennel, thyme, melissa, anise - such teas increase lactation. Avoid semi-finished products, foods with artificial preservatives and dyes, use only high-quality and fresh products. Avoid carbonated drinks; there are no benefits from this for neither the child nor mother. Garlic, onions and other spicy foods. Avoid smoked meats, sausages, and fish. Avoid fat meat and lard. Avoid beans and brown bread. Avoid pickled cabbage, garden radish, radishes, fermented cheese (suluguni, sheep cheese, Adyghe cheese) sausages, and ham. Avoid exotic fruits.

While breastfeeding you can eat:
